Introduction Post

 Hello! My name is Ashley. I am working towards an AAOT degree at LBCC. I will be transferring after fall term to go for a bachelors degree. I am a business major. I am still deciding which direction to go with it. I am interested in the different aspects of business and am learning all I can. I am excited to take this class and hopefully have a better understanding of marketing. I am most interested in learning hw to market myself to potential future employers. It will also be useful to gain an understanding of marketing to consumers. I am passionate about traveling and learning about different parts of the world. I love that videos are able to show me different travel destinations. I have honestly not been outside of the United States yet. I also really enjoy listening to true crime podcasts. I am excited to get to know everyone in class. I hope you have a god first week!

         I found an article written by Dave Lee titled "Twitters troubles are perfectly timed for Meta" on Bloomberg's site. I picked this article because I have been watching Twitter change since Elon Musk took over. It has been interesting to watch the slow train wreck for the past few months. Almost immediately after he started running things, he made a payment option for people who were already verified. You can also pay to make your account verified if you did not have it before. There are other apps that you can use that don’t incur a monthly cost.   People had mixed feelings about it. It takes work gaining followers and getting the verified check mark next to your name. Social Listening

      I wanted to do this blog on the new social media app threads. I wasn't sure where I should pull off comments for the assignment. I asked my daughter and she recommended Hasbro. We looked them up and they do a pretty decent job of marketing on social media. I was excited to see they are releasing a new version of furbys. Judging by the comment section, I am not the only one. Hasbro also announced their 100 year anniversary. They have a lot of nostalgia inducing products for a lot of people. They have introduced different games and toys for children and families to enjoy together. I think that is part of the company's value proposition. Children learn through play and it is also a way for families to spend time together. Children have enjoyed play-doh for years. My family still enjoys playing games together.      The post announcing the new furby had a lot of positive comments. Issac-dx said "THEY ARE BACKKKK NO WAYYYYY AAAAAA" in all caps with the crying emoji. F
